Website and Other Publication Management

Introduction

Realizing that non-dues revenue and sophisticated communications have become essential to the prosperity and image of associations, CSM moved into the forefront of the communications business.

The Publications Division of Crow-Segal Management, New Florida Graphics, is maintained with constantly updated computer graphics equipment and an expert, fully-trained staff who each have education and experience in their respective specialties. CSM's publication department annually produces monthly, bimonthly, and quarterly journals, newsletters, convention programs, annual membership directories, and publicity for special events. We also supervise and update seven websites for our clients.

CSM can assist the Client in increasing revenue from all publications housed under the Client's name; because New Florida Graphics produces work for a number of clients, from hotels to high-tech companies, we can obtain pricing breaks on all areas of publishing.

CSM's in-house editor will work in liaison with your Publications Chairman to produce your current or future printed or on-line publications. CSM would plan, write, or obtain writing from the membership or outside sources, design, produce, and supervise the printing of all Client publications as specified by the Board of Directors.

Pricing for these publications would be on the following basis: Advertising (if necessary) sold on a commission basis of 17% of all ad monies collected; graphic design on the basis of $35 per page (excluding graphs and charts which are priced on request). Printing, mailing, and halftones are billed separately. We have found that the best way of managing websites is to outsource that function to a company whose only focus is website management. We have supervisory access to the websites for the purpose of providing quick textual updates, but the servers and access lines are maintained by the company. The one we use for this is based in Maryland outside of Washington, D.C. and has the most competitive hosting fees combined with providing the fastest access for our members. As requested, we will review the site at least twice a month to provide necessary updates.

CSM's client publications have won many awards, including "Charlie" awards for excellence from the Florida Magazine Association and national awards for best association magazines.
